Some of yew is poisonous, original acrylic painting on canvas
£300.00
There is an ancient yew tree not far from my house, it is over 1000 years old and I find it fascinating.
Yew trees are often gnarly, twisted old trees with their small dark green foliage they are pretty dull to look at, but then they have these juicy looking beautiful red/orange fruit.
I always thought that the berries were poisonous but apparently not, once you take out the insides.
I wanted to paint the berries in all their delicate plumpness, to celebrate them.
This canvas is 49.5cm w x 20 cm h and is unframed.
